This was Seabreeze during the Amsterdam sailaway, they didn't appear to perform as often as the Romantics, but seemed to work more than destination services.
Orange and black, who knew Amsterdam was comprised of SF Giants fans.
Other passengers enjoying sail away from Amsterdam.
People mostly enjoying sail away, I do see one less than happy camper in the photo.
Not bread alone, but bread, breadsticks, water, wine, butter and compound butter!
On the left we have an American cocktail sauce they somehow managed to break. On the right the Euro cocktail sauce which seemed similar to but not quite a Louis dressing.
Potato chip, potato, short rib, onion, filet and horseradish. Whatever else they did in the kitchen, the sauces (save kitchen made for Diane) were excellent.
Wee light desert /snicker
Looks can be deceiving. Wrong sugar, wrong coffee and most definitely wrong flavor profile in the whisky. Ah well, chalk one up for the "original".
Something to play with in the waiting area outside the aft end of the Restaurant.
While they had no brain teasing puzzles, they did have a daily dose of "spot the spelling error" with their menus. Sadly I was informed there were no chicken stripes to be had.
For each dinner in R2 they'd pull your menu card out of a red envelope then make the envelope vanish.
Bread tonight was some doughy/corny things. They didn't appear again and I'm fine with that.
This would be the lobster martini, I found it better as individual components rather than mixing everything together.
L to R: Artichoke salad, seared sushi tuna, black olive vinaigrette - crab & spinach pop, stir fried shiitake mushrooms, bok choy - cured & roasted duck breast, mango, chili mint oil
L to R: Tomato & coconut cappuccino, braised oxtail cigar, lemongrass seafood presse, double shocked shrimp
L to R: Crisp sea bass, bean meli-melo, citrus fondue - barbecue glazed shortrib & seared foie gras, orange potato soubise
L to R: Sweet coffee sandwich - white chocolate foam - random interloping sauternes - sea salt caramel ice cream
You'd think this type of door would also be clear of clutter. You'd be wrong.
Nick F "champagne" the F stands for FOUL
My room, bar on the left, bed, bathroom, closet, hallway, desk, useless TV, annoy-o-phone
The mini bar setup with my Hendricks (the Stoli Elit would be wrangled up in Tallinn). Most people would have a fruit plate on that counter but I declined.
The TV is ok from the couch, aside from the scan lines/fuzziness. Notice that curtain there, yes it makes viewing from the bed impossible without wrecking the curtains.
Closet seemed a bit smaller than on Regent Voyager. Also that safe is about 20 years out of date. Seriously WTH are you thinking? Manual scroll wheels to set the combo? Having to re-enter the combo to lock it? Please go digital, key in combo to open/set, press 1 button to lock, much simpler.
Dual sink bathroom, I think I preferred the marble color in Silversea better. Silversea uses Bvlgari, Seabourn Moulton Brown. Eh.
Ignore the one on the left, rarely trust the one on the right. While the stewardess was supposed to change the clock that didn't always happen, and in some instance the minutes were significantly off.
Notice anything funny about my bed? (hint the right 1/2 is about 1/2" lower than the left).
On this cruise a viewing window like this was just fine. In more tropical climates, or Alaska I don't know. I would have liked to have seen one of the R&J balconies.
Steak Diane being made for me in the Restaurant.
Crepes Suzette being made for me.
Being followed by some random vessel.
The sky bar blender is so advanced it needs a USB interface.
The Sky bar
Two of the three hot tubs
Most of the liquor selection in the Sky bar (I had my cabin liquor stashed here. I'd much rather Nelson, Ivan or Sonja mix a drink than have to order the ingredients and mix it myself in my suite).
Random scenery on a sea day
Working on some kind of pipeline or something?
That would be the ships third hot tub
The Constellation lounge where they had tea and earlier in the day, trivia
Port side of the Constellation lounge
